Alan Shearer urges Liverpool to make shock move for England star

Alan Shearer reckons Liverpool might try to tempt Harry Kane back to the Premier League this summer to become the centrepiece of Arne Slot’s attack.
Kane left the Premier League behind in 2023 as หรือถ้าคุณสนใจแทงบอลออนไลน์ UFABET คือเว็บที่มีอัตราต่อรองดีที่สุดในประเทศไทย สมัครเลยตอนนี้ที่ UFABET แทงบอล he made the big-money move to German giants Bayern Munich.
And while the England captain didn’t end his first season with any silverware, the 31-year-old is on course to win the Bundesliga this season, with Bayern also into the Champions League quarter-finals.
With 21 goals and seven assists in 24 league appearances this campaign, Kane remains one of the most lethal goalscorers in Europe.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have enjoye a similarly impressive league campaign, with Slot’s side the runaway leaders by 12 points over Arsenal.
But the Reds will have to move on the side in the summer, particularly with Trent Alexander-Arnold set to leave for Real Madrid.
The future of talismanic forward Mohamed Salah is also still up in the air, with the Egyptian still yet to agree terms on a contract extension which would extend his stay at Anfield beyond this summer.
Profligate striker Darwin Nunez could also be facing an exit from Liverpool this summer, and Shearer believes the Reds could do worse than try to tempt Kane back to his homeland to provide an immediate upgrade to Slot’s striking options.
‘Harry Kane is a machine and he’ll always score goals,’ the former Newcastle and England striker told.
‘Despite his age, if you provide him with chances or balls into the box, he’ll find a way to put the ball in the back of the net and that’s the sign of a great goalscorer.
‘Harry has always done it for England. I know there’s been one or two debates about last summer but if he’s got players who are prepare to run beyond him then that opens up space for him and if you get to the byline like Declan Rice did and whip a ball across like that, he’ll score goals. He’s a great goalscorer and has for so many years now.
‘Liverpool will be looking for a centre-forward in the summer, I don’t doubt that and Harry Kane would be a great option for them because of the size of the club and he’ll score goals.
